Cup of Joe and a book

As I am sitting here this morning thinking about my simple pleasure  and my Thankful Thursday post, they both fit so nicely together.  I love it when that happens.

My simple pleasure this morning is that first cup of coffee while spending time with the Lord.

And being thankful for the opportunity to enjoy it, as so many women don’t have that opportunity with having to run out to work.

Now that is the “best part of waking up”.

  6. I so enjoy my first cup of coffee of the day while spending time with the Lord! The coffee just tastes better during that time, doesn't it? Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier today and sharing in my joy about what God has done for our daughter!

  7. Thank you for visiting my blog this morning. It's nice to meet you.

I agree with you about being thankful to not have to run out of the house every morning. I haven't worked outside the home since I had my first child back in 1990, and I never cease to give thanks for the hardworking husband who makes that possible (and, of course, the Lord who is the REAL One who made it possible.) It's a blessing to not have to rush around every morning.

    Have a lovely day,
    Patti

  13. Cindy, I couldn't agree more! I thank God so often that (right now at least) I have the leisure of a slow morning with a good cup of coffee.

Loved this simple pleasure. I'm late getting to the end of the linky list this week, but the added pleasure for me is that I will go to sleep thinking pleasurable thoughts!
