Old Lucketts Store and Leesburg

*LOTS OF PHOTOS

Good Morning, My title says it all.  That was my Saturday!

Saturday started off a big draggy, as I just didn’t  feel motivated.  However, I had some big plans for the day,  For over a month I had set a date with a old friend (no she isn’t old, we have just known each other for 20+ years) and I haven’t seen her since the Navy moved me fromMagnoliasattheMill-Restaura Germany. So it was time to reconnect.  I can’t tell you how great the visit was, it was awesome seeing her and her hubby again. They also got the opportunity to meet my new hubby.

We had a delightful dinner at a local mill in the town where they reside.

On the way to our friends we have to go through Leesburg Va. so we took some time and made a quick visit to one of my favorite places.  Old Lucketts Store. on the way into Leesburg.  I could spend hours here, so shabby, and lots of chippy paint and lots of glitter.  Any girls dream.  I also wanted to stop in and see what MMS had.  Fortunately for my hubby, her booth was sparse.  She hadn’t refilled it for the upcoming holiday house coming up in a few weeks.  But this will give you a idea of the goodies you can find here.

Now this gives you a snippet view of some of the goodies that can be found on a regular basis, but here is a sneak peek at Marion’s @ Mustard Seed Interiors booth on the third floor. Sooooooo her.  I’ve had the pleasure of meeting her when she “housed” her goodies at the Wild Rose in Walkersville Maryland.  Believe me when I say pictures don’t do her goodies, justice.

After daydreaming here for a bit, I headed next door to The Beekeepers Cottage.   About all I can say is bling  bling and WoW!  Take a look and see if you don’t agree. And believe me this is NOTHING compared to the shop.

Ok…this gives you a idea of the eye candy I was looking at.  Simply gorgeous!

A.L.L. this before we even hit Leesburg.  With more shopping!  Antiquing. here. we. come.

The two pics below are the antique shops we scoured.  Some nice things but most was a little pricey

for my taste.  Love to look and get goodies but hate those big PRicETags.

And to top it off we stopped by Mom’s Apple Pie and picked up a apple pie for dessert.  YUMMO!
They have a darling little shop in Leesburg.

Take my word for it, scrumptious.

So you can see that I had a fun packed and full Saturday.

Well think it is time to start my day so better get a move on.  Hope you have a very blessed Tuesday!

  1. Eye candy is right! I have heard other bloggers mention Old Luckett's Store (can't remember which ones) and I would love to visit there.

I loved that chandelier the best of all.

  2. Hi! Enjoyed your post. I live in Leesburg and the Lucketts Store is my favorite place to go when I want to have a little get-away. Even if I don't end up purchasing anything, I enjoy the visit. Next time you go through that way, you may also want to check out On A Whim. It's located where that big pink polka dot barn, etc is and has really nice items as well. Enjoy your day! Leena
