Making my home sing Monday-Sept 13

TWO POST FROM ME IN ONE DAY- Check out my Fall Nesting Party post below @ Pumpkins Anyone?

Making a home sing Today is Monday and for that me that means joining in the linky party @ Mom’s the Word

My weekend hasn’t been the normal one for me, so I am feeling a bit out of sorts. Almost feel like I have been floundering.

My husbands birthday was yesterday so all my kids were at the house overnight on Saturday.  And when that happens, I have them ALL over the house. It makes  for a good time with them, but my house suffers  .  So today, it consist of getting myself back on a schedule and refocus. And since my husband when with my sons to the Cowboys and Redskin game, he wasn’t around to have his birthday cake, so i am going to make him a cake today. His favorite, a carrot cake.

So that is what I am up to today…what about you?

Feel free to join us as we make our homes sing today@ Mom’s the Word.

  2. Okay, I'm a bit envious of your husband as I would have really enjoyed being at the Redskins/Cowboys game! I grew up in VA, but was born in TX so have been a lifelong Cowboy fan and love the rivalry!

Here's hoping your house cleaning goes quickly and smoothly!!

  3. Happy Birthday to your husband! My son's birthday was the 10th. :) Carrot cake sounds good- I like the cream cheese frosting as it's not as sweet as regular frosting. Enjoy the week ahead! (((Hugz)))

  6. Okay, I know that we are not to "covet", but I am SO jealous! I wish I could have gone to the Redskins/Cowboys game! I bet they had a blast.

Your carrot cake sounds delicious...one of my favorites! My hubby has to have a Reese's Peanut Butter Blizzard Cake from Dairy Queen every year for his birthday, so I don't get the pleasure of baking for him. I guess I make up for it the rest of the year!

    Blessings!
